For over six years the Moffitt family was terrorized by a demon from the past. Claiming that Lee Moffitt was promised to him as a sacrifice hundreds of years ago, the entity had now come to collect her. There were no safe havens. There was no where to run. The Moffitt family had only one option survive. Unwelcomed provides a factual account and pictorial study of the Moffitt family's true paranormal experiences from 1987 to 1992. While the nightmare may be over, the mystery surrounding these terrifying events continues to haunt the family.

This relatively-famous case comes to life in this book. The book is not particularly well-written, but it seems honest and real. As a former paranormal investigator, with a Master's Degree that focused on the Medieval European witch trials, I can say that the things that happened to this family are in line with authentic demonic infestations. I just wish the author would have gone into even more detail. Just one example: one of the photos of the mirror writing has the word "Pazuzu" on it. Pazuzu was a Sumerian deity/demon. If this demon claimed to be Pazuzu, that would have added an entirely new element to the story, but the author does not even mention it. But overall, this book scared me, and I slept with the lights on haha. I recommend this as an example of what seems like a genuine infestation.Product details

Unwelcomed The True Story of the Moffitt Family Haunting eBook Deborah Moffitt Jessica Moffitt Todd Hendrickson Reviews
I like to read true stories of the paranormal and I really enjoyed this book. I felt terrible for the Moffitt family having to endure this horror. However; as far as Bill Sr. is concerned, I would have been thrilled if the entity had followed and tortured him 100 times worse than what he aided in inflicting on his wife.
This story is truly amazing and is like no other true haunting story! I have read almost every true haunting story that is on so take my advice! Another wonderful thing i noticed is that it briefly mentions Ed and Lorraine Warren. This is my opinion It mentions the Warrens but it's like even the entity knows they are a hack! Read and find out what I mean!
There's so many evil happenings, so many decades worth of professional paranormal investigators telling the family to leave. So why stay?. Why wait until now/writing of book to even tell anyone about previous investigations?. NOTHING makes sense, I've lived in a haunted house myself. IT wasn't filled with demons, not that showed themselves. But I can tell you this, if some demon wanted my child's soul I would leave. Plain and simple. Why'd this family stay?....if this story is true...why stay?.
I recommend this book for the interesting circumstance s in which the entity originated. I think Bill Sr. Aggravated their situation. I liked the entity more than him. He was a magnet for negative energy.
I have read this book several times- I read aprox 50 books a year (for 35 years) and I can count on one hand the books I have read more than once. The family had an amazing experience, and if you noticed that ghost is not mentioned on the cover, it is because no one really knows what was living with the family in this true version. I would love to read a follow up- one from Debbie about the memories that popped up after she wrote the book, and also include the research from other paranormal groups that Todd H uncovered. I truly feel that this phenomenon should be well documented from many different perspectives, even the naysayers, because this entity was bent on destroying the family; I'm sure it went to great lengths to discredit them. This was a truly incredible book.
This is one of the most fascinating, frightening, gripping and disturbing books I've ever read. It's also very well-written and extremely detailed which is atypical for the genre. I won't provide plot details to avoid spoilers, but there are a number of terrifying and occasionally violent events that affect the Moffitt family and their pets, so it isn't for children, highly suggestible and/or easily frightened adults. I found 'Unwelcomed' nearly impossible to put down, so read it when you have several hours to spare and keep the lights on!
To preface this comment Why would someone destroy their house and take pictures - to use and save 25 years later? Also bringing in a parade of well respected researchers and not use their accounts for decades? I've seen many incredulous comments on this story. That it has to be a hoax. Understandable thinking upon first blush. To hear of an entity so powerful as to carry on consistent conversations via writing, as well as constantly apport objects is mind-blowing. I certainly doubted the story upon reading the description of the first book "A Deadly Haunting". The book was totally believable, however it's fictional-style story telling was off putting. Reading this second book just cemented my belief Deborah is telling the truth. The first hand accounts told matter-of-factly and combined with time stamped photos makes this believable indeed. This book was riveting. I highly recommend listening to some of Deborah's interviews and podcasts as well. It adds definite dimension (in conjunction with the books and pictures) hearing her describe the events. I can't get enough of this story. It's astounding.
